Miramichier Attends Tourism Mission in Yukon

The Canadian Tourism Commission and Atlantic Tourism selected Valerie O'Donnellas one of three delegates from New Brunswick to attend Winterchange 2003.

Winterchange is a winter outdoors best practice mission in Whitehorse, Yukon.

As owner/operator of O'Donnell's Cottages & Expeditions, Valerie recognises the opportunity New Brunswick winter offers the tourism industry. Through her work with the province, she has made significant steps towards expanding and diversifying not only her business, but also the four seasons of tourism within New Brunswick and Atlantic Provinces. The end goal - to create the ideal winter getaway location.

The mission's purpose is to uncover new directions and opportunities in order to expand, enhance and develop winter products and destinations. Canada has a lot of winter - we want to make the best of it! By meeting with 60 other tourism leaders from across the nation, the chosen delegates are given the opportunity to meet and work together in developing product destinations and adventure opportunities to reach markets outside North America.
