Napan Agricultural Show 2003
Mark August 14-17 on your Calendar so you won't miss the Napan Agricultural
Show.
Back in 1974, we started the Napan Hauling Match and Country Supper to
raise money for baseball and the community hall.
Each year, since that time, we have added events to bring us to where
we are today with the Napan Agricultural Show.

We started with 6 volunteers and today we have over 200. We claim we
have the most volunteers for our size than any other event in Canada.
The following are some feature events
at this years show:
The Napan Agricultural Show presents the “Lloyd Watling Country
Variety” on Sunday, August 17th from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
The feature performers are the Miramichi Fiddlers, Roger Lanteigne and
Jimmy Lawlor. Admission at the door is $5 for Adults. Children 15 yrs and under are free.
Admission to the grounds prior to the show is also included in the above
price.

A new and exciting change to this year’s schedule of events is
the Light Horse Gymkhana Events.
The competition consists of three events: Barrels, Poles and Dash for
Cash. It is an open competition with only ten pre-registered horses competing.
Each event will be scored on a point system with the high point horse
being the winner.
This is going to be a fast, exciting spectator event and will start at
10 am on Sunday, August 17th.

The NAS is very excited to present the second annual “Wild and
Wooly.” Five time slots have been set aside from Thursday to Saturday for this event.
The “Wild and Wooly” features local children of different
age categories beginning at one end of the show ring and heading to the middle of the ring to catch a goat or sheep and convince
it to return to the start line with them.
This event is full of laughs and entertainment and was a big hit
last year.

The Church Service this year is on Sunday, August 17th at 9 am in the
Show Ring. Rev. Dave Cleveland will conduct the service and the music will be by the worship band “All For the Lord.”
Everyone is invited to attend.
