The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association presents MIRAMICHI CELEBRATION with Dr. Ralph Bell, May 29th through June 1st at
the Miramichi Civic Centre.
This event is open to the public and FREE of charge. Tickets are not required.
Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. A free-will offering for Celebration expenses will be received.
Special Seating will be available for persons with mobility impairments. Call
the Celebration Office at (506) 624-1310 for further information.
Dr. Ralph Bell is a member of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Team, handpicked
by Billy Graham to serve as one of the Associate Evangelists.
Dr. Bell will speak each night, accompanied by a special musical guest.
Every night except Saturday, Celebration emcee Mark Christian will host the
evening, music group Ekklesia will lead worship, and the Celebration choir will perform led by director Mark Blankenship.
Saturday morning there will be a special "Kids Fest" for children (K-6) and
Saturday evening will be "Student Night." There will also be a dedication service on Wednesday, May 28, at 7 p.m.
Celebration guests include: Paul Brandt, Walter Arties, Huntley Brown, Steve Russo, Ekklesia, Lesha Campbell, Jake and more.
Since joining the Billy Graham Team in 1965, Dr. Ralph Bell has assisted in
Mr. Graham's mission services in America, Europe, Australia, New Guinea and around the world. His efforts also include schools,
community groups, prayer groups and prisons before and during Billy Graham Missions.
In addition to these responsibilities, Dr. Bell holds city-wide and single-church
Celebrations in this country and overseas. He brings a rich knowledge of Scripture to his speaking. He has also developed
a strong belief in the important role the local church should play in meeting the needs of the community.
His background includes five years as pastor of West Washington Community Church
in Los Angeles, four years as professor at Los Angeles Bible Training School, and four years as chaplain at the Los Angeles
County Jail.
Dr. Bell studied for three years at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and received
a BA in History at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. Following that, he studied at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena,
California, where he received his Master of Divinity degree. In 1978 Richmond College in Toronto awarded him a Doctor of Humanities
degree, and in 1981 Indiana Christian University in Indianapolis, Indiana awarded him a Doctor of Divinity degree. He also
took a course in Pastoral Clinical Training at Metropolitan State Mental Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
He has also hosted his own television program, called "Soul Free," and authored
a book by the same name.
Born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Dr. Bell now resides in Bellvue, Colorado,
with his wife Jean. They have two sons, Ralph S. Bell, II, and Christian Eugene.
