The story of River City in simplied form. Let me refer to the following as "the significants"
RIVER CITY ..... community development

River City presents the world's next big industry....
"The Awareness Industry."

River City is a name; River City is a mechanism; River City is a process; River City is you; River City is me; River City is what we want our community to be.

River City is seventy written documents..... by Peter Manderson..... a long time small businessman in Miramichi, N.B.

These documents are referred to as " street smart economics. "
I have studied 31 definitions of leadership and arrived at the one I like best.
Leadership is understanding the issues, asking people what they think, and examining the alternate ideas that come forth. I then broke this definition down further and here is my final conclusion of what leadership is.

Leadership is ..... understanding the issues! ..... and this is where street smart economics comes in. Let us say that this is where the rubber meets the road.

River City contends that 1% of every community's population would like to learn about useful and interesting subjects, which is actually what street smart economics is made up of. "The deepest drive in humans is to learn" and "knowledge is what makes the world go round" are the two statements that support my contention.

All business people, all government employee supervisors, politicians of all levels, all union leaders, and many other citizens such as the recently retired would enjoy "street smart economics". It is as if it becomes an empowerment, entertainment, and motivation process. It is my committment to join 200 leaders in my area as a ball of energy on a community journey.

RIVER CITY ..... community development
River City is a 21st century manufacturer explained by using this analogy.

Repap was a pulp mill in Miramichi, N.B.
Repap would combine wood fiber with chemicals to produce coated paper.
Repap was thus defined as a 20th century manufacturer.

River City proposes the same process with a different make-up.

River City is a knowledge organization in Miramichi, N.B.
River City will combine people with knowledge to produce empowered citizens, and to be more specific ..... River City will produce leaders.

River City is thus defined as a 21st century manufacturer and intends to become the world's largest. This is a value added process similar to Repap.

The five components of River City are as follows:
Reason is combined with knowledge, connected to leadership, then brought in to community development by a process called action mode.

The new 21st century community development models now have a starting point ............... River City will create them!!!!!!
River City is not only in the" Knowledge" business !!!!!!!!!! ............... it is also in the business of "Knowledge."
